Refund and Returns Policy

At Grain Tools & Grit, we take pride in the quality of our products and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Refunds & Returns Policy explains when and how returns, refunds, and exchanges are accepted.

This policy applies to purchases made through https://graintoolsandgrit.com.

1. Shipping Regions

At this time, we ship within Canada only.

We do not ship internationally, including to the United States. Orders placed with international addresses may be cancelled and refunded.

2. Return Eligibility

We accept returns only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The item is unused
  • The item is in original condition
  • The item is returned in original packaging
  • The return request is made within 14 days of delivery

Items that show signs of use, installation, wear, damage, or modification are not eligible for return.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Used items
  • Custom, made-to-order, or personalized products
  • Clearance or final sale items
  • Items returned without prior approval

4. How to Request a Return

Include:

  • Your order number
  • A brief explanation for the return
  • Photos (if the item arrived damaged or defective)

Returns sent without authorization may be refused.

5. Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method

Grain Tools & Grit is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.


6. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days
  • You will be notified once the refund is issued

If the returned item does not meet eligibility requirements, the refund may be refused and the item returned to you at your expense.

7. Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos of the item and packaging

We will work with you to:

  • Replace the item, or
  • Issue a refund, at our discretion

8. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.
If eligible, you may return an item for a refund and place a new order.

9. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before shipment.
Once an order has shipped, it must follow the standard return process.

10. Consumer Rights (Ontario / Canada)

This policy is subject to applicable Canadian and Ontario consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under law.
